Writing Competition

All Albany Law School students in good standing are invited to submit papers related to the legacy of Justice Robert H. Jackson in his various roles as Attorney General, Associate Justice of the Supreme Court and as Chief of Counsel for the United States in Nuremberg.  Papers tracing the contemporary relevance of this legacy are strongly encouraged. The outstanding winning paper will receive an award of $1,000 and will also be eligible for presentation at the Conference. In addition, the runner up will receive an award of $500 and the third place paper will receive an award of $250. The winning papers will be selected by a committee comprised of Professors James Gathii, Alexandra Harrington, and Vincent Bonventre. Winners will be announced by March 30, 2012.

We are excited about celebrating our accomplished alumnus. We welcome all ideas and participation from the Albany Law community.  As 2012 approaches, please continue watching for more about the schedule of events.
